How to use DrillPal
Hints
When you open a new play, on-screen hints walk you through the drawing chain: stamp players, place the ball, draw moves and passes, then scrub to animate.
To turn hints off — or back on — tapand toggle Hints.
View controls
The bottom bar has four quick controls. All are captured in recorded video.
- Lines — three-button toggle at the far left.All,Ball only, orNone.
- — dims everything except the selected player's lines.
- — shows or hides annotation ink.
- — shows or hides player number labels.
Tapfor extra options:
- Large tokens — 1.75× scale on players, ball, and cone.
- Ghosts — preview dots showing where players will be at the start of your next stroke, so you can line it up exactly.
- Hints — on-screen drawing prompts.
Saving plays and Library
DrillPal saves your work automatically — you never need to tap Save.
To name a play, tap→Save play…
To open a saved play, tapand tap the play name.
Formations
A formation saves your current player positions so you can reuse them across drills.
To save: tap Arrange, then tapFormations→Save current…
To load: tap Arrange, tapFormations, and tap the name. Player positions update without touching any ink.
Record video
Tap→
Tap Start. Narrate while you play or scrub the timeline. Tap Stop when done.
Review the clip. Tap Keep to save it to your device, or Retake to try again.
